you can take the world, just give me you.

wow. I’m really disappointed in myself. jeez, the gaps between each post is just unacceptable.  Every time I start a blog/journal, I always am pumped to write everyday. The next day though, ha I’ve forgotten. Ugh. Alright…I won’t say that I’m going to write every day, but at least 2 or 3 times a week. We’ll see =)

I’m watching the Super Bowl XLV with some high school friends. Reasons I’m watching it is: a) the commercials b) hanging out with friends. OH and of course the fact that Glee is coming on after the game =) I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed with Glee, I just love the remakes of the songs they perform. Most time I will end up liking the Glee version more than the original! I’m kind of weird like that. Get like me. =)

So the hot topic of this past week, or should I say cold topic of this week, is the snowpocalypse! Oh my goodness. We just started having the sun melt away enough snow for driving and here comes round 2, week 2. Lame sauce. I’ve had enough cabin fever. It’s been on my mind a lot lately….all of the homeless people in Fayetteville. We complain about the cold, yet we are the ones who have a warm house to sleep in. And even if the heater were to go out, you STILL have a roof over your head and you don’t have to be in the FREEZING wind. It just makes me sad how spoiled we are. =/ Honestly we need to have or start praying for the heart of Jesus. Our heart should break for the things that breaks his. I fail a lot in this area too. Living in america makes it hard. Satan loves to use us being comfortable in his plan to distract us. We focus more and more on ourselves and our needs. Our hearts should be aching for the lost and broken. Not only should our hearts be yearning for the poor and homeless in other countries, we have that EXACT same thing right here in NWA. Something we need to be praying for daily.

Deuteronomy 15:7 “If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.”

Isaiah 1:16-17 “Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.”

James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
