the Word became flesh.

“The Son of God became a man to enable man to become sons of God.” - C.S. Lewis

I think that we (believers) forget the vast measure of what Christ did for us. He humbled himself by coming to earth as a HUMAN. Going from God to human, wow. Not only that, but He DIED for us while we were YET sinners. Jeez, His love for us blows me away! I feel like if we are in that state of mind (marveling over how amazing His love is for us), we reflect on just how wonderful He is and in return we experience the fullness of joy that He wants for us. We remember what it used to be like before Christ came into our lives and automatically give Him praise and thanks for rescuing us! Or we should… I know I am guilty of not having that mind frame everyday. Imagine everyday waking up with that mind set. Oh. My. Gosh. The day would be so different than it usually is. With our thoughts on Him from the early a.m., throughout the day in every situation, our attitudes would be radical. Our words and actions would be filtered through the Lord. He loves to spend time with us and talk with us. He wants that relationship with us. The more time we abide in His love and meditate His word daily, the better chance we respond in a way Christ would in a rough/bad/nasty situation. Yes it would be tough, but we would hear His voice so clearly and just rest in His peace because we know that He has everything under control. EVERYTHING.

“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

I just pray continually that we wake up thanking God for another wonderful day (rain, sunshine, or snow!). I pray that we thank him for another breath. Every day really is a gift. Don’t waste it. Use it for glorifying His Name. Experience Him to the FULLEST. Abide in His love. =)
